New Bern Computers Users Group

The New Bern Computer Users Group (NBCUG) was started in 1994 and is an informal, unstructured group of people having a common interest in personal computers.

 

Whatever happens at  NBCUG meetings happens because of volunteers. The group is always open to suggestions, including how to organize better. Ideas, however, always seem to require volunteers.

  

NBCUG meets at the Knights of Columbus hall at 1125 Pinetree Drive, New Bern, NC
 
NBCUG meets quarterly on the third Saturday of the first month, of each quarter, unless a cancellation occurs due to bad weather or by member vote.  

 
Social hour is from 8-9 a.m. This time is used to find which guru you want to help with your PC problems. 
 
The program starts promptly at 9 a.m.

Meetings end at 10:30 a.m.  

 

To help pay for the $150 rental of the meeting room, non-members are charged $3.00 admission at the door for any meeting attended, or they can elect to register and pay the requisite dues per the schedule below:

NBCUG Dues and Fees

Non-members are charged $3.00 admission at the door for any meeting attended.

Members do not pay admission to meetings.

Non-members can elect to register and pay the requisite dues per the following schedule:

$12.00  if joining between Jan 1 and March 31

$9.00  if joining between April 1 and June 30

$6.00  if joining between July 1 and Sept. 30

$3.00  if joining between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31

Note: Membership dues paid are for a family; admission to meeting fees for non-members are per person.

NBCUG Membership includes:

• Free Admission to all NBCUG meetings for you and members of your immediate family

• NBCUG E-mail

  • NOTE: Immediate family may fill out a Membership Application to become a "Family Member" and can use a separate email address
    

• All members may take advantage of the knowledge of several Computer Gurus

• Technical discussions

• Announcements

• Access to all pages on the NBCUG web site

  • It is necessary to Register, on the web site, for a login name to access the NBCUG web site Member Pages.

  • "Family Members" may register and use individual login names to access the web site

Become a NBCUG Member

You may join NBCUG by filling out a Membership Application and paying dues according to the schedule above on the NBCUG DUES AND FEES tab. 

 

After submitting the Membership Application form an invitation will be sent to you from the Google group email service.  You must Accept this invitation to complete the sign up process.

 

After you have completed the sign up process, you can post and receive email from the NBCUG email group by sending an email to   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

 

Immediate family are included in your dues. Please submit a separate form for each "Family Member" that either has a unique email address or will likely attend a future meeting.

 

Note: Your membership information is kept private and not "published" on a web site for public viewing.
